What diploma programs do you offer for the aspiring practitioner?

Do graduates become a Doctor of Homeopathic Medicine?
Yes, graduates of our foundation diploma programs (DHHP and DVHH) are eligible to join NUPATH, the national homeopathic professional association (open to non-Canadian students as well) and receive the designation HD(RHom.) - Doctor of Homeopathic Medicine (for more information go to nupath.org).

DHHP and DVHH graduates also automatically become members of the C/IHA (Canadian/International Association for Heilkunst) and earn the right to the designation DMH (Doctor of Medical Heilkunst). See heilkunst.com for more details.

How much will it cost and what are the options for payment?

Is there any financial assistance available?
The HCH receives no government funding but offers a limited number of scholarships to those who are in financial need and demonstrate a deep commitment to the study of Heilkunst. for more details and a financial assistance application form.

What are the prerequisites for your college?
We require at a minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent and recommend 1-2 years of post-secondary education or equivalent life experience. See Our Students Are... for more information on the types of people who study with us!

Do I have to take all courses in Ottawa, or can I study at home?
The HCH offers both in-class and distance learning, and uses innovative means to ensure distance learning is rewarding and stimulating. Both the in-class and DL options offer maximum flexibility to students depending on their particular situation. Go to Study Options for more details.

Is the college registered as an educational institution or accredited by any professional body?
The HCH is a registered educational institution under Canadian law, and is entitled to offer receipts for tuition fees. Students in Canada are further allowed to deduct various other expenses when filing for income tax. for more details.

The HCH is accredited by NUPATH as meeting its standards for education and all graduates are eligible for the designation HD(RHom.) - Doctor of Homeopathic Medicine (go to nupath.org for more details).

The HCH is further accredited by the C/IHA as the only school offering training in Medical Heilkunst, with graduates entitled to use the designation DMH (Doctor of Medical Heilkunst).
